HCA Helps in Harvey Relief

HCA Family,

Daily, there are images of families still struggling from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.  We are reminded in Galatians 6:2 to “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”  God has given us a unique opportunity to be of help to those in need.

Hillsdale Baptist Church has organized 2 teams to go and help out several churches that experienced damage due to the storm and the immense flooding.  One team is already on the ground in Texas City, Texas and another is looking to go this weekend.  Obviously, we are watching Hurricane Irma and it’s projected path to finalize the departure time and date.

In the meantime, Hillsdale Baptist Church is attempting to raise at least $10,000 to $12,000 to assist these teams with necessary materials, housing, food supplies, water, and other needs for the work of restoring these churches.  There is still much to be raised and room for men with construction skills and talents to go and be a blessing.  If you are interested in giving, please contact Mrs. Ruth Hill in the Business Office at 813.884.8250 x222.  You may also give online by clicking on the link or visiting the church website, www.hillsdalebaptist.org.  Look for the “Donations” button in the upper right hind corner of the home page.  Use the “Other Designated Funds” button and notate your gift amount to the right.   If you are interested in going to help on this trip, please contact Pastor Jarrett (Academy Teacher and HBC Youth Pastor) at at 813.884.8250 x232 . It is important to note that those interested in going need to be able to handle a heavy work load.

Please note that any donation you make is tax deductible through Hillsdale Baptist Church.

If we all do a little, it becomes a big thing in the end.  If you have any questions about this at all, please feel free to contact the School Office.

On behalf of HCA, we thank you!
